Brima Bangura, Chief Executive

Mr. Brima Bangura joined the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) as Chief Executive in January 2012. Before joining NPPA, he worked for two and a half years as the Financial Controller of the National Power Authority through a DFID/World Bank funded programme to rehabilitate the electricity sector in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Bangura is UK educated with a BA (Hons) degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting, and as MSc in Public Policy and Management from the University of London. After his first degree, he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Emile Wolfe and Financial Training Ltd (UK), and has many years experience both in the private and public sectors with UK companies and government institutions such as Granada Group, P&O Ltd, National Endowment for science, Technology and Arts (NESTA) and General Dental Council, where he held a senior management in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Bangura is proud of his recent membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CISP), and very passionate about ensuring the effectiveness of NPPA as a regulator and monitor of public procurement in Sierra Leone.
